This week on WordPress Plugins from A to Z I cover a couple of plugins and have introduced something new to the mix. You will notice a screencast on how to install and configure the plugins below. Please provide some feedback on how helpful or not it is.
The first plug in is called AddThis by The AddThis Team. With AddThis, visitors to you site can promote your content by sharing to 295 of the most popular social networking and bookmarking sites (like Facebook, Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon and MySpace). The buttons are small, unobtrusive, quick to load and recognized all over the web. Plus you can sign up for a free www.AddThis.com account to see how your visitors are sharing your content: which services they're using for sharing, which content is shared the most, and more.
The second plugin is YARPP (Yet Another Related Post Plugin) by mitcho (Michael Yoshitaka Erlewine) With this plugin you can provide a list of posts and/or pages related to the current one your visitors are on, introducing the reader to other relevant content on your site. As an added bonus it also helps by adding additional deep links to your site encouraging the search engines to dig even deeper.
